چکیده
Purpose Flow models of intracranial aneurysms (IAs) can be used to test new and existing endovascular treatments with flow modulation devices (FMDs). Additionally, 4D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) offers the ability measure hemodynamics. This way, effect FMDs determined noninvasively compared patient data. Here, we describe a cost-effective method for producing efficiency MRI. Methods The were based on human radiological data (internal carotid basilar arteries) printed in 3D stereolithography. three different printing layers (25, 50, 100 µm thickness). To evaluate vitro, rotational angiography, time-of-flight MRI, MRI employed. geometry one model vivo Two (FMD1 FMD2) deployed into two IA models, was estimated by Results Models layer thicknesses exhibited similar little geometric variation. mean spatial difference between vessel measured vitro 0.7 ± 1.1 mm. main features, such as vortices IAs, reproduced. velocities (mean velocity magnitude: 5.4 7.6 7.7 8.6 cm/s, maximum 72.5 55.1 cm/s). Background and Importance: Intracranial pial arteriovenous fistula is a recently described matter as a rare vascular malformation occurring in children. It is usually located in the subpial space in the intracranial cavity with a high-flow shunt. Case Presentation: Authors report on a 2-year-old child with intracranial pial arteriovenous fistula and progressive enlargement of he...

OBJECTIVE To study the features and approaches of endovascular treatment for intracranial aneurysms with a ruptured bleb. METHODS This retrospective study was carried out from June 2007 to June 2009 in Jilin University, Jilin, China. Thirty patients with intracranial aneurysms with ruptured blebs were included. The aneurysms were diagnosed by digital subtraction angiography (DSA), and the end...

متن کاملHeadache improvement after intracranial endovascular procedures in Chinese patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysm
The aim of this study was to investigate whether there is a long-term improvement in headache of patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIAs) treated with intracranial endovascular procedures.Using a prospective design, consecutive patients with UIAs with neuroendovascular treatment from January 2014 to December 2014 were asked to participate. Headache outcomes were established before...
متن کاملEndovascular coil embolization of aneurysm neck for the treatment of ruptured intracranial aneurysm with bleb formation
BACKGROUND Ruptured intracranial aneurysm (ICA) with bleb formation (RICABF) is a special type of ruptured ICA. However, the exact role and effectiveness of endovascular coil embolization (ECE) in RICABF is unknown. We aimed to investigate the effectiveness and safety of ECE of aneurysm neck for RICABF treatment. MATERIAL AND METHODS We retrospectively assessed consecutive patients who were h...
